Financial Cryptography and Data Security 2015
19th International Conference
Puerto Rico is officially an unincorporated territory of the United States. For most logistical purposes traveling to Puerto Rico is similar to any location on the US mainland. The sole currency is the US dollar and the international dialing code is +1. Please note however that while English and Spanish are both official languages of Puerto Rico, Spanish is the predominant spoken language.
For immigration purposes visiting Puerto Rico is equivalent to visiting anywhere on the US mainland. US citizens and permanent residents will not need a passport and do not need to pass through customs or immigration; flights to Puerto Rico are considered domestic flights.
Non-US permanent residents from Visa Waiver Program countries (including Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan and most of Western Europe) will not need a visa to attend the conference. However, they will need to register prior to travel using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization at least 72 hours prior to travel (excluding Canadian citizens and residents).
Attendees from non-visa waiver countries without an existing visa will most likely need to apply for a B-1 Temporary Business Visitor visa. If you require an official invitation letter for your B-1 visa application, please send e-mail to the General Chair. Please provide a scanned copy of your passport and a letter of endorsement signed by an appropriate representative of your affiliation. The endorsement letter should include your full name, title and affiliation, work address, phone and fax number and email address. If you have attended past IFCA conferences or workshops, let us know the conference name and year, too. N.B. A letter of invitation may only be issued after authors have paid their registration fee and provided the requested information.
The conference hotel is three miles from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), with direct flights to many locations including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Miami, Newark, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Tampa, Toronto and Washington DC on the North American mainland as well as Madrid and Frankfurt in Europe.
